Alaskan salmon fishing in September  We have a great fall run of Alaskan silver salmon.  It is the last fishing in Ketchikan but what a way to end the season! Ketchikan Silvers salmon average 8 to16 pounds and the fishing can get fast and furious. The first week is good but the last three weeks are typically the best. Ketchikan fishing a lot of fun in September.

     The halibut start moving back to the open ocean. By the first week in September they are getting hard to find.
